Lingonberry Whiskey

After my hospital stay in Sweden, I came up with the idea from my vascular surgeon. Who said I should put in some Swedish lingonberries. The Swedish lingonberry is part of the blueberry and cranberry family. Each of these superb berries contains a bundle of disease-fighting antioxidants and vitamin A, vitamin C and magnesium. Lingonberries have been shown to contain bacteria-fighting properties because of their antioxidant, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. These properties naturally made me very interested in doing something with them. I found a juicer in Sweden who pressed the berries cold for me and I traveled to Sweden again to pick it up. We made a nice product of it with an alcohol percentage of 41%.

Taste: a nice full flavor of red berries, sweet caramel, toasty oak and vanilla to name a few. A complexity of flavors that leaves all your senses tingling for the ultimate taste pleasure.
