Three Velleper Thursdays Full of Atmosphere, Crowds and Great Encounters

Over the past few weeks, Doc. Collins attended three editions of the Velleper Donderdagen. Three days, each with its own unique character, but all with one thing in common: great conversations, enthusiastic visitors and plenty of interest in our whiskey, moonshine, rum and liqueurs.

 

A warm start… with a wet ending

The first Velleper Thursday started off very warm. It was one of those days when you were mainly looking for some shade and a cold drink. Despite the heat, plenty of visitors found their way to our stand and we had the opportunity to introduce many people to Doc. Collins.

Later in the day, unfortunately, the weather changed. The heat gave way to rain and eventually things got pretty wet. That is sometimes simply part of outdoor markets and events in the Netherlands. Despite the weather, the atmosphere remained good and we look back on a successful first Thursday.

 

The second Thursday: pleasantly busy

During our second Velleper Thursday, everything came together a little better. From the start there was a lively atmosphere, and throughout the day a steady stream of visitors made their way through the town centre.

For us, these are exactly the kind of days we enjoy. Not only because we get to present our products, but especially because we can talk directly to people. Some visitors already know Doc. Collins, while others are discovering our different whiskeys, moonshines, rum and liqueurs for the very first time.

That combination is exactly what makes events like the Velleper Donderdagen so enjoyable for us.

 

An exceptionally busy third edition

The third Velleper Thursday started incredibly busy. Large crowds were out and about and there was plenty of activity right from the beginning.
The early crowds did mean that things suddenly became much quieter later in the afternoon. Many visitors had already explored the town centre and temporarily headed elsewhere.
Fortunately, that didn’t last long.

As the evening began, visitors returned and the atmosphere became lively once again. Even better, several people who had visited us earlier in the day enthusiastically returned to our stand in the evening.

Some had taken a little extra time to decide which bottle they wanted to take home, while others came back for another look or simply stopped by for another chat. Moments like these make a long day at an event more than worthwhile.

After three Velleper Thursdays, we look back on three very different but, above all, very enjoyable days. From hot weather and rain to busy streets and enthusiastic visitors in the evening: we experienced it all.

We would like to thank everyone who stopped by our stand, had a chat with us, showed interest in our products or went home with a beautiful bottle of Doc. Collins.

For us, it remains fantastic to not only sell our products online, but also to present them personally. Every bottle has a story behind it, and we prefer to share that story directly with people who appreciate our passion for distinctive spirits.
